The Russian delegation headed by Chief of the National Central Bureau of Interpol of the Russian MIA Police, Interpol Vice President representing Europe Police Major-General Aleksandr Prokopchuk has taken part in the international Unity for Security Forum held in the United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi) on March 28 – 30, 2017.
The agenda comprised issues of enhancement of Interpol's operations in combating terrorism, cybercrime, illegal drug trafficking and distribution of prohibited products, motor transport offenses, safeguarding of cultural heritage, protection of children and refugees' rights.
On the sidelines of the forum, the Russian delegation also held a number of working meetings with the foreign partners where the parties discussed practical issues of countering transnational crime and anti-crime cooperation in bilateral and multilateral formats.
