Igor Zubov presented awards to the winners of the MIA Judo Championship

In Kazan, State Secretary and Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation Igor Zubov took part in the solemn ceremony of awarding winners and prize-winners of the Russian MIA Judo Championship among regional divisions and educational organizations of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs.

About 500 sportsmen-policemen from 56 regions and 16 educational organizations of the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia took part in the departmental competitions.

When opening the ceremony, Igor Zubov stressed that the special review held in Kazan had confirmed the excellent physical training of policemen. He also expressed gratitude to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan and the executive authorities of the republic for the high organizational level of the championship and wished the participants of the sports forum success both in service and in sports.

Addressing the participants of the competition, Artem Khokhhorin, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, noted that for those few competition days Kazan brought together officers who had devoted their entire lives to sports and could serve a worthy example to colleagues and invited them to visit Kazan again, but already in the tourist format.

The participants of the championship, with many famous athletes among them, competed in seven weight classes and two qualifications - among the educational organizations of the system of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and territorial bodies of the police.

The first place among the educational institutions in the team score was taken by the team of the Moscow University of the Ministry of the Interior of Russia named after V. Ya. Kikotya, the second place - the Ufa Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia closed the top three.

In the team score among territorial bodies, the team of the MIA General Administration for Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad Region was the winner. The second place was taken by athletes representing the MIA General Administration for the City of Moscow, the third place was shared by the teams of the MIA for the Republic of Tatarstan and the MIA General Administration for the Krasnodar Territory.

 

In the individual standings among the educational institutions the winners of the Championship were:
