“Within one day, employees of the police, the Russian Guard and the Investigation Committee identified and captured the man suspected of killing a child in a village of the Penza Region. The 34-year old man previously convicted for a number of offenses, including for illegal drug trafficking, was convoyed to the Police Division for the Gorodishchensky District for carrying out a complex of investigation and search operations,” said Russian MIA official representative Irina Volk.
On February 27 at 08:25 PM the police of the Gorodishchensky District was reported about a body of a 10-year old boy with signs of violent death found in Sursk on Polevaya Street. The personnel of the Police Division of the district and policemen from Penza were immediately sent to the crime scene.
“Policemen blocked all exits from the town. Employees made the round of all houses located in the area of the crime scene. Owing to the videos from the CCTVs, the police obtained pictures of the citizens who had passed by the scene not long before the incident. Policemen identified all those people and questioned them. One of the local women identified the malefactor who had sometimes come to their microdistrict and had purchased alcohol in a local store shortly before the crime.
The suspected perpetrator was identified in several hours after the murder. Policemen received latest information that the suspect had been hiding in the apartment of his acquaintance. The building where that citizen had been supposedly staying was cordoned off,” said Irina Volk.
As a result of the investigation and search measures, employees of the police, the Russian Guard and the Investigation Committee captured the citizen born in 1982 involved in the crime. The suspect previously convicted for a number of offenses, including for illegal drug trafficking, was convoyed to the Police Division for the Gorodishchensky District for carrying out a complex of investigation and search operations.
By the moment, the man has been detained under Article 91 of the Criminal Procedure Code of the Russian Federation.
