The police received a complaint from a citizen who said that unknown men had destroyed his beehives. Policemen were not only to clarify all circumstances of the case, but also to find the men who had declared war to noble insects.
The police managed to identify the suspect and then to capture the honeybee hunter. That is a 36-year old local of a village in the Spas-Demensky District of the Kaluga Region. As was established, the man had added a white powdery substance on the flight boards that had poisoned helpless insects. In that way, the malefactor had damaged seven beehives owned by the pensioner.
The authorities initiated a criminal case on that fact based on essential elements of a crime stipulated by Article 167 “Intentional property destruction or damage” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction under this article provides for up to two-year imprisonment.
Policemen are currently establishing what induced the malefactor to commit such an uncommon act.
