“Employees of the Administration for Migration Issues of the Russian MIA Administration for Sevastopol, on their own initiative, go to remote districts of the city and come to elderly residents of Sevastopol who are unable to move themselves so as to provide them assistance in receipt of passports of citizens of the Russian Federation,” said Russian MIA official representative Irina Volk.
In 2016 only in the Nakhimovsky District, the authorities executed and issued documents to over 50 locals unable to come themselves due to their age to the Division for Migration Issues and receive passports.
Local residents are pleased with such initiative and attention to them on the part of policemen.
“I almost never go out and, for that reason, I could not execute the passport. Now, I can be a full-fledged citizen,” a local woman thanks policemen for their attention.
