The General Investigation Administration of the Russian MIA General Administration for the Stavropol Territory accomplished the preliminary investigation of the criminal case on the fact of a fraud. The investigation established that the director of several commercial entities dealing with car sales had stolen other citizens' money. 490 people had suffered from the defendant's actions,” said Russian MIA official representative Irina Volk.
Concluding car sale and purchase agreements with the victims, the accused man had never fulfilled the stipulated conditions misappropriating the obtained money. The total damage had exceeded 260 million rubles.
In the course of the preliminary investigation, the police questioned over 500 victims and witnesses.
By now, the criminal case with the approved indictment has been sent to the court for consideration on the merits.
