A criminal case was initiated on that fact. By the moment, it has been sent to the court for consideration on the merits,” said Russian MIA official representative Irina Volk.
In the course of the investigation and search operations, policemen of the Administration for Economic Security and Combating the Corruption and the Criminal Investigation Administration of the Russian MIA Administration for the Khabarovsk Territory suppressed an attempted sale of an Amur tiger skin by a group of persons.
Four men transported an Amur tiger skin in the trunk of a foreign-made car. The investigation established that two of them were not involved in the crime.
According to the expert examination, the age of the killed animal was 3-5 months. The accomplices said that they had intended to sell the skin for 600 thousand rubles. During the interrogations, they admitted their guilt.
In the course of the investigation of the criminal case, the police carried out a range of phonoscopic, biological and other examinations proving the accused men's guilt.
