“Policemen of the Russian MIA General Administration for the Irkutsk Region and the Russian FSB Administration for the Irkutsk Region suppressed illegal activities of an organized group of people involved in unlawful cash-out. According to the information available, there could be over one billion rubles in illegal turnover. Criminal intelligence analysis of the gang's activity started on the basis of materials obtained from the tax bodies that had detected facts of cash-out in large amounts in the course of office tax audits,” said Russian MIA official representative Irina Volk.
By the moment, the authorities have created the investigation response team from among operations officers of the Russian FSB Administration for the Irkutsk Region and investigators of the General Investigation Administration of the Russian MIA General Administration for the Irkutsk Region for the investigation of the criminal case initiated subject to Article 172 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
As a result of the package of investigation activities implemented in Irkutsk, the police detained 13 locals and carried out over 30 searches at the offices of the clandestine organization. Policemen confiscated nearly one million rubles, dozens of mobile telephones, digital media, and documents containing information about shady financial transactions.
Operations officers revealed the scheme arranged by the “black” bankers. As was established, the malefactors had used bank accounts of fictitious dummy companies that had not actually existed. They had cashed large amounts of money through those companies and had taken parts of those amounts as remuneration. Their unlawful income had totaled dozens of millions of rubles.
In the course of the investigation, the money in settlement accounts of the dummy companies through which it had been withdrawn was judicially arrested.
