Within the implementation of the State Antidrug Policy Strategy of the Russian Federation Until 2020 approved by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation No. 690 dated June 09, 2010, the Russian MIA General Administration for Drug Control together with the General Administration for Transport of the Russian MIA, the General Administration for Protection of Public Order and Interaction with Executive Authorities of Constituent Entities of the Russian Federation of the Russian MIA and the Ministry of Health of Russia will hold interagency comprehensive offense prevention campaign “Children of Russia-2016” in the Krasnodar Territory and the Republic of Crimea from August 8 through 18.
The key goal of this campaign is to prevent drug addiction among minors, detect facts of minors' involvement in criminal activities related to unlawful drug trafficking, as well as to raise awareness of the population about drug consumption consequences and the liability for involvement in drug trafficking.
Within the implementation of the main package of the measures aimed to form a negative attitude in the society toward non-medical drug consumption, the internal affairs bodies together with the executive health protection authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation have planned a range of sporting and educational events intended to promote a healthy lifestyle among young people.
Besides, in such summer places as children's camps, health centers, sanatoria, etc. the campaign will also include preventive events, explanatory work with minors regarding the harmful effect of drug consumption, as well as about the liability stipulated by the legislation of the Russian Federation for illegal drug trafficking.
