“A criminal case was initiated against natives of Central Asia who had organized unlawful stay of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation,” said Russian MIA official representative Irina Volk.
Employees of the Subdivision for Economic Security and Combating the Corruption of the Administration of Internal Affairs for the North-Eastern Administrative District of the Russian MIA General Administration for Moscow detained fourteen natives of Central Asia: acting on behalf of a business entity and using fictitious corporate details and seals they had organized unlawful stay of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation for a fee.
The police established that the malefactors had made forged documents allegedly confirming lawful stay of foreign citizens in Russia and containing false information about their places of registration and employment.
In the course of the searches at the malefactors' place of residence, the police found and seized office appliances, documents, seals proving that the men had executed fictitious documents for illegal migration registration of foreign citizens in the Russian Federation.
It was established that their income obtained as a result of unlawful activities exceeded 150 million rubles.
A criminal case was initiated on that fact based on essential elements of a crime stipulated by Part 2 Article 322.1 “Organization of illegal migration” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. Restraint in the form of written undertaking not to leave was established for the suspects.
