Today, in Moscow, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation General of Police Vladimir Kolokoltsev held a working meeting with the Minister of Public Security of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam.
The head of the Russian MIA congratulated the Vietnamese counterpart with the appointment to the high public office, and expressed confidence that the cooperation between the two ministries will maintain its long-term and mutually beneficial character.
Vladimir Kolokoltsev stressed that issues of ensuring the security of citizens of Vietnam staying in the Russian Federation were continuously monitored by the MIA of Russia. He thanked the Chief of the Vietnamese police for the help in locating and extraditing of Russian citizens wanted for various crimes.
According to the Russian Minister, the continuation of cooperation with law enforcement agencies of Vietnam in the fight against threats to security is one of the most important tasks. We are primarily talking about the exchange of information on persons suspected of involvement in crimes. Another key area of cooperation remains the personnel training.
As part of the expansion of contacts in the sphere of high technologies Vladimir Kolokoltsev invited the delegation of law-enforcement agencies of Vietnam to visit the international exhibition “Interpolitex-2016”, which will be held in Moscow in October this year.
