An elite gambling establishment, bringing its organizers more than 10 million rubles of illegal income per month was liquidated in Moscow
“Officers of the General Administration for Economic Security and Combating the Corruption of the MIA of Russia and of the Division of Economic Security and Combating the Corruption in the Central Administrative District of the MIA Administration for the city of Moscow with the power support of SWAT of the MIA SPC CP stopped the illegal activities of the casino located in four apartments in the “Saint Petersburg” tower of “Moscow City” business center,” said the MIA official representative Irina Volk.
As a result of the inspection the police seized four tables for card games, cash in rubles and foreign currency equivalent to over 3.3 million rubles, communication equipment, computer equipment, a large number of gambling chips and decks of cards, debt records, and customer database. According to the available operative information, the offenders’ income exceeded 10 million rubles a month.
The investigating authorities detained more than 40 people, including the alleged organizers of the illegal activity. Currently the issue of taking a procedural decision is being considered.
