Officers of the Criminal Investigation Administration of the MIA General Administration for the Moscow Region, together with colleagues from the MIA Inter-district Administrations “Noginskoe” and “Balashikhinskoye” detained two local residents aged 19 and 23, suspected of committing a series of robberies from apartments.

It has been established that the offenders damaged the front door lock in an apartment located in the Zarya micro-district of Balashikha, got inside and stole jewelry and cash. The material damage exceeded 300 thousand rubles.

The detectives proved the involvement of the detainees in 24 analogous episodes of illegal activity. The total amount of the damage exceeded 5 million rubles.

During the searches at the detainees' places of residence the investigators found and seized: jewelry, tools for opening the door locks, 12 cell phones with SIM cards.

This fact has been prosecuted on the grounds of the crime stipulated in Art. 158 of the Criminal Code “Theft committed with an illegal penetration into a home”. This article presumes a punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of up to 6 years.
