When patrolling the railway station of Neryungri and inspecting a passenger train Khabarovsk - Neryungri, officers of the MIA North-East Linear Administration on Transport revealed a fact of transporting excessive baggage by one of the conductors.
At a further check and drawing up of an administrative offense protocol in the four travel bags kept in the conductors' service compartment, law enforcement officers found more than 68 kilograms of sturgeon caviar.
According to the preliminary information, the caviar was purchased in Khabarovsk. It was on the way to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) for subsequent sale.
On the fact of illegal purchase and storage of water resources, belonging to the species listed in the Red Book of the Russian Federation, the inquiry division of the MIA North-East Linear Administration on Transport initiated a criminal case on grounds of the crime stipulated by Part 1 of Art. 258.1 of the Russian Federation’s Criminal Code.
