At the railway station Novosibirsk officers of the Division of economic security and combating the corruption of the Khabarovsk Linear Administration of the MIA Transport Police seized in the baggage car of a passenger train Vladivostok-Moscow about 500 kilograms of sturgeon caviar.
During the check of operative information officers of the Far Eastern Transport police seized the luggage, which contained canned black caviar. The delicacy, the production and trafficking of which had been forbidden, was to be delivered in Moscow by the New Year celebrations.
Currently, the inquiry division of the Khabarovsk Linear Administration of the MIA Transport police prosecuted this fact on the grounds of a criminal offense specified in Part 1, Art. 256 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Illegal extraction (catch) of aquatic biological resources".
The police is carrying out investigation and operational actions with the sender of the batch of biological resources the trafficking of which is forbidden.
