Officers of the General Administration for Economic Security and Combating the Corruption of the MIA of Russia identified an illegal scheme of capital cashing via e-mailing of remittances, followed by obtaining cash through the offices of the "Russian Post".
A 53-year-old resident of Moscow - the leader of an organized group, consisting of 15 persons is suspected of organizing the illegal banking activity: the nominal leaders of several controlled by him "ephemeral" companies to the accounts of which there were received funds from clients, accountants, keeping the paperwork of the "illegal bank", recipients of cash, cash collectors. In addition, the criminal scheme involved a citizen of the Turkish Republic, providing the opening of settlement accounts to controlled legal entities at banks with Turkish participation.
In the period from 2014 to November 2015 the offenders directed the "gray" funds of clients for cashing to current accounts of created by them "ephemeral" firms supposedly for the purpose of paying for some services. Then the money from these accounts, by money orders were transferred to members of the group who, after receiving the cash at a post office, transported it to the office of the illegal bank for the transfer to customers.
According to the available documented information, the annual turnover of the said "cashing site" exceeded 1 billion rubles.
The General Investigation Administration of the MIA General Administration for the city of Moscow initiated a criminal investigation into the fact of illegal banking activities.
Police officers conducted 25 searches in places of residence and work of the suspects, as well as in two offices of the "illegal bank". The police seized more than 50 seals of fictitious companies, keys of the "Client-Bank" system, primary financial and economic documents, as well as electronic media.
A house arrest was selected by court as the preventive measure for the suspect.
Operative and search measures aimed at identifying additional episodes of the detainees' criminal activity are underway.
