The fight against corruption is relevant in light of the creation of the necessary conditions for business development, a favorable investment climate, for protection of honest businesses and reduction of the share of the shadow economy.
Police officers on an ongoing basis carry out operational and preventive measures for the prevention, detection and suppression of corruption crimes.
On the eve of the International Anti-Corruption Day, which is celebrated on December 9, officers of the MIA for the Republic of Crimea, together with representatives of the Public Council with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea held a social prevention campaign "Your NO Counts".
During the event, law enforcement officers handed out to citizens information materials explaining the basics of the current legislation, conducted preventive talks with the population, as well as provided practical legal assistance.
The participants of the event were unanimous in the opinion that the problem of corruption is one of the most pressing topics of our time and generation of intolerance to corruption is possible only by joint efforts.
Warning citizens against hasty action, the police explained the algorithm of behavior in the case of bribe extortion or bribery offer, and also reminded about the criminal liability for committing the above offenses.
According to a member of the Public Council with the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea Alexander Suprun, in the fight against corruption the interaction of law enforcement agencies and civil society institutions is of crucial importance. Such events are an effective measure in addressing the urgent anti-corruption issues facing the police and the society.
