An unusual campaign "Sign of Safety" was launched in the Ivanovo International children's community. Spokesman of the Press-service of the MIA Administration for the Ivanovo Region, the traffic police outreach inspectors of the region chose the best new road sign painted by children's creative teams.

At the beginning of the school year the pupils received a task from the police to come up with road signs, which are not yet in the everyday use by the traffic police. The Jury of the MIA Administration representatives summed up the first results. The Jury evaluated the craftsmanship, originality and functional purpose of the works. The Jury also took into account how the kids presented their teams to stand out. Some came up with chants on the theme of road safety, while others - have impressed the Jury with unusual name and team emblem.

While the Jury selected the best competition works, the audience listened to an interesting lecture given by a traffic police inspector. The police reminded the school-students about the traffic signs that are installed along the Russian roads and showed to the kids road signs of other countries. Children were happy to get acquainted with overseas "road ABCs" and were particularly interested in road signs with images of exotic animals that can suddenly come onto the road, for example in Australia and Papua - New Guinea. In the works invented by the kids, there were quite a few animals too.

The Jury was touched by the children's caring for elderly road users: to elderly people they devoted a whole series of works. The topic of novice drivers also did not stay unnoticed by the young artists. The audience and the Jury were impressed  with a road sign in the form of a heart, the authors claimed that such a sign would again remind motorists that they held in their hands their own lives and lives of other people and they needed to follow the Traffic Rules.

In the final of the event the winning team called "Zebra" was awarded a certificate for 30 people to attend performances of the Drama Theatre. In addition, all the participants received an "excellent" grade from the police for their special lesson of safety: fives adorned bright booklets with preventive tips on safe behavior in public places and on the road.
