At the high motor-season the personnel of the Traffic Police carry out preventive raids aimed at ensuring the safety of drivers and passengers of two-wheeled transport.
A day ago, within the frame of a social action "Helmet - comes first" the streets of Irkutsk were patrolled by a column of moto-riders headed by a service vehicle of the traffic police and following a tow truck, filled with mopeds and motorcycles involved in road accidents. The purpose of this event - to demonstrate to parents and underage the consequences of neglecting safety measures on a scooter.
The Police toured the places of mass stay of citizens, where they conducted interviews with adults and adolescents and reminded about the criteria that allow owners of two-wheeled vehicles to ride them - achievement of 16 years of age and obtaining a driver's license.
All the citizens received from the traffic inspectors and bikers the memos specially prepared for the occasion.
