Police in Sakhalin detained malefactors involved in illegal crab fishing
Policemen of the Administration for Economic Security and Combating the Corruption of the Russian MIA Administration for the Sakhalin Region accomplished the operation aimed to suppress the activity of members of an organized group involved in illegal crab harvesting.
The operation enabled to detain four malefactors who had caught over two hundred crab specimens on two small vessels. Besides, the police found containers with cleaned crab in the car of one of the suspects.
The policemen confiscated 18 bags with fishing equipment, containers with cleaned crab and other physical evidence. The small vessels were sealed.
A criminal case was initiated.
