A suspect of illegal forest felling has been detained in the Perm Territory
Officers of the MIA Intermunicipal Division "Solikamsky" of the Perm Territory detained a man suspected of committing a series of illegal felling of forest plantations. The Police established the involvement of the offender in 7 episodes of unlawful activity.
The total damage caused by the suspect has exceeded 5.5 million rubles. Cut timber, including timber of valuable species, was sold and the proceeds were spent by the man at his discretion.
Criminal investigations into the facts of illegal felling of forest plantations on a large and extra large scale were initiated. The suspect has been arrested.
