Officers of the Patrol and Inspection Service of the MIA Administration for the city of Krasnodar, Police Sergeant Igor Vasiliev, Police Junior Sergeant Igor Sayenko and Trainee Maxim Gomzikov rescued a woman from the fire that engulfed her apartment.

While on their patrol route, officers saw a fire catching an apartment on the second floor of a building. The hostess of the flat was in a desperate situation and trying to escape from the fire, stood in the window opening of the loggia.

Igor Vasiliev hurried to help the woman. He rose to the second floor using the ground floor window lattices  and helped her down to the ground. The owner of the burning apartment received burns of varying severity  to her face and hands and was hospitalized.

At the same time, Junior Sergeant Igor Sayenko and Maxim Gomzikov organized the evacuation of residents from other apartments, then cordoned off the area adjacent to the house before the arrival of firefighters.

According to the preliminary version, a fire occurred due to careless use of flammable substances in cooking. Making sure that the arrived firefighters fully localized the fire, police officers returned to the patrol route and continued performing their duty.
