Investigators of the MIA Administration for the Primorsky Territory completed the investigation of a criminal case initiated on the features of a crime stipulated in article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Illegal felling of forest plantations" committed on a large scale by an organized group.
Illegal activities of the group members were stopped by officers of the Administration of Economic Security and Combating the Corruption of the MIA Administration for the Primorsky Territory.
It was found that a 31-year-old resident of Lesozavodsk involved five men in illegal activities. The leader of the group provided to his accomplices transport vehicles, fuel, food stuffs, means of communication, provided premises for temporary accommodation, organized illegal tree felling of ashes and oaks on the territory of the Mikhailovsky District.
For compensation of the damage caused to the state, investigator decided to seize the property of the defendants in the criminal proceedings.
The investigation has been completed. The involvement of the offenders in 4 episodes of unlawful activity has been established. The leader of the group was taken into custody.
The damage caused to the forest fund of the Russian Federation, is estimated at 26 million rubles.
The Criminal case with the indictment approved by the Prosecutor's Office was sent to court.
