A man accused of theft and robberies has been delivered to Russia

At the request of the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, competent authorities of Poland extradited  Michael Shaprinsky , born in 1977, who had been convicted for committing crimes stipulated by Part. 2 of Art. 162, Part 2 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of Russia (robbery and theft).

Today, accompanied by officers of the MIA National Central Bureau of Interpol the suspect has been delivered to Russia.

In April 2007, for committing a robbery and 13 cases of theft the extradited man had been found guilty and sentenced to 8 years in prison. During the investigative activities Shaprinsky was under house arrest, and he managed to escape.

In order to locate the offender and detain him, he was declared wanted by Interpol.

During the operational-search activities the defendant was detained in the territory of Poland.
