In the Ivanovo Region within the frame of a large-scale social project "Security Forecast" and preventive action "Watch out, - children!" Traffic Police inspectors of the region hold special training sessions in educational institutions.
At the lessons of basics of life safety, the Police tell the younger generation about the impact of different weather conditions on the road situation. For example, in the form of a game the Police explained to primary school children, the effect of reflective elements in bad weather on the safety of young pedestrians, and told them how the length of the braking distance changes on the wet pavement. Children were shown videos where one can clearly see how difficult it becomes to drive a vehicle in the rain, snow, ice and fog. At the end of the training the kids along with inspectors painted main characters of the social campaign - Svetik and Nepogodka. The most active participants received souvenirs from the organizers.
For high school students the Traffic inspectors together with teachers conducted lessons of physics: Real experiments and tests were used to explain the teenagers how weather affects the road, and how a car behaves in this case. High school students got acquainted with such a dangerous phenomenon on the road as aquagliding.
