A policeman from the Republic of North Ossetia - Alania won the silver medal in the Africa open judo tournament
At the African Judo open tournament held on14 to 15 March in Morocco (Casablanca), Ensign of the Traffic Police of the MIA Division for the Progorodny District of the republic, world-class athlete Batraz Kaitmazov won the silver award.
The tournament was attended by 266 athletes from 34 countries.
In the Russian national Judo team Batraz Kaitmazov performed in the weight category of 73 kg. After several victories, he lost in the final fight to a Portuguese - the world junior judo prize-winner Saraiva Nuno.
Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic Police Lieutenant-General Arthur Ahmethanov congratulated Police Ensign Batraz Kaytmazov with a successful performance at international competitions.
