The police stopped the illegal felling of trees, the damage from which amounted to more than 3.5 million rubles.
Officers of the MIA Intermunicipal Division "Zalarinsky" detained "red-handed" a group suspected of illegal logging in the territory of one of the forestries. The Police believe that a team of five men residents of the city of Zima executed the illegal felling of trees in the volume of 290 cubic meters.
During the inspection of the scene the Police seized forest felling equipment. The 40-year-old previously convicted man suspected of organizing the illegal logging, was taken into custody.
Criminal proceedings have been initiated.
