Officers of the Division of Economic Security and Combating the Corruption of the MIA Administration for the Primorsky Territory revealed facts of illegal felling of forest plantations in the territory of the Zimnikovsky forestry, the Dalnerechensky District.
During the raid, police officers discovered plots of illegally cut trees such as rock ash, elm, fir, aspen, walnut and cedar. The total damage exceeded 11 million rubles.
In the course of operational-search activities the police detained eight residents of the Dalnerechensky District. The Police identified the organizer of the illegal logging - a native of Tajikistan, living in the city of Dalnerechensk.
Investigative unit of the MIA Intermunicipal Division "Dalnerechensky" initiated a criminal case on the features of crime stipulated in article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Illegal felling of forest plantations" committed on a large scale by an organized group. The offenders were presented the charges and detention was selected as the preventive measure for them.
