The Center of Culture of the regional police administration hosted the final rating chess tournament among representatives of the team of the Russian MIA General Administration for the Samara Region.
The ceremony of opening of the chess lovers club took place on April 10th, 2014. That opened a new page in the cooperation of the regional police administration and the Chess Federation of the Samara Region.
In 2013, the regional MIA held the first chess tournament for the Cup of the Chief of the Russian MIA General Administration for the Samara Region among the employees of the internal affairs bodies and mass media and blogosphere representatives. Last year, the policemen lost to their competitors, while this year the MIA team earned a resounding victory over mass media employees and bloggers.
In 2014, the policemen participated in fourteen exercise lessons, and based on their results the Center of Culture of the Russian MIA General Administration for the Samara Region held the final rating chess tournament among representatives of the team of the regional police administration. Nineteen representatives of various services and units of the internal affairs bodies of the Samara Region took part in the event, as well as Chairman of the Chess Club under the Council of Veterans of the Division of the Russian MIA for Novokuybyshevsk retired Militia Captain Yuri Fokin and chess champion of the Samara Region among juniors Alexandr Suvorov.
The Chess Federation of the Samara Region greatly supported the organization of the tournament.
Based on the results of the games, the management of the regional police administration awarded certificates of honor to the medal winners of the tournament. They were delivered by chess team captain Vladimir Vasilets – Deputy Chief of Federal State-Owned Enterprise “Private Security Administration” of the Russian MIA General Administration for the Samara Region.
