Policemen of the Subdivision for Economic Security and Combating the Corruption of the Division of the Russian MIA for the Kirzhachsky District detained a resident of the Moscow Region suspected of the use of counterfeit money. The policemen established four facts of that man’s criminal activity in the territory of Kirzhach.
It was established that on December 17th the man had used one counterfeit 1,000 ruble note and two counterfeit 5,000 ruble notes. The police detained the suspect in a store when he tried to pay for goods with another counterfeit banknote.
During the inspection of the malefactor's car, the policemen found and seized six 5,000 ruble notes and ten 1,000 ruble notes.
Criminal cases were initiated on the fact of use of counterfeit money. Currently, investigative and operative procedures are ongoing aimed to establish the suspect's complicity in other cases of counterfeit money distribution in the region.
