Veteran of World War II, an honorary veteran of the Russian MIA, retired Militia Colonel Nikolay Novoselov celebrated his 90th birthday in the Chelyabinsk Region.
Nikolay Novoselov began his career on the farm "Zarya" in the Kirov Region. In 1943 he was mobilized to the Soviet Army. He fought in the 562d Infantry Regiment of 165th Infantry Division, and in the period from May 1943 to May 1945 - at the First and Second Baltic Fronts, as well as at the Second Belorussian Front. During the service he received three combat wounds, was awarded the Order of the Great Patriotic War of 1 and 2 degrees, the Order of Glory of all the 3 degrees; Medal "For Courage", "For Military Merit" and "For Victory over Germany", "For the liberation of Warsaw", "30 years of the Soviet Army and Navy."
In April 1957, Nikolay Novoselov started his service in the Militia of the Russian Federation, where he served for more than 16 years.
On the day of the jubilee veterans and current employees of the MIA Inter-Municipal Division "Yuzhnouralskyl" with flowers and gifts came to congratulate Nikolay Novoselov. They wished him good health, wellbeing and long life!
