Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Police Lieutenant-General A.A. Gostev attended the two-day seminar on "Improving the operation of staff divisions and inspections."

The meeting is held on the basis of the Cultural Center of the MIA General Administration for Saint Petersburg and the Leningrad Region.

Arkady Gostev discussed with representatives of the territorial bodies of the Ministry issues of improving the operation of staff divisions and inspections.

Furthermore the workshop participants reviewed the organization of information and analytical work in the Russian MIA and the evaluation of police territorial bodies, touched on the experience of the police support of investigations conducted by independent experts.

Upon completion of the first day of the meeting there were summarized  the day's result and announced the agenda for the next day, when Arkady Gostev plans to hold a  "round table" on the  problems arising during the operational performance of staff divisions and inspections of the Police.
