The said spyware can secretly monitor the user's phone calls, sms-messages, correspondence, as well as photographs and documents stored in the phone memory.
During the search operations the staff of the "K" Administration found that the group consisted of three young men, born in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Moscow and Yoshkar-Ola.
Each of them performed a clearly defined role. The organizer of the illegal business, a native of the Republic of Kazakhstan, accepted orders, met with clients, and also held master classes on how to install the software. A native of the city of Yoshkar-Ola, modified the program, was engaged in promoting an Internet resource, specially created for illegal purposes, and in advertising, and the third member of the group was a courier.
It is established, that the group operated in the territory of the Moscow Region for more than four years. The malefactors sold malicious software to customers for 550 euros and sold during the period more than 1000 mobile phones with installed malicious software. The Criminal income amounted to more than 25 millions of rubles.
After establishing the identity of all the group members, their homes were searched. There were found and seized 20 mobile phones, 3 computers, a stick with the source code of the malware, as well as instructions to it.
Currently, measures are being taken towards the identification of all the persons who have purchased mobile telephones with the mentioned software.
A criminal case under Article 273 of the Criminal Code (Creation, use and distribution of malicious software) was initiated.
