Vladimir Kolokoltsev congratulated the laureates of the All-Russian contest "People's Precinct"
Today, in the building of the Russian MIA, Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Police Colonel-General V.A. Kolokoltsev met with the finalists of the fourth annual All-Russian contest "People's Precinct."
According to the Minister, not the contest in itself is important, but the fact that a large number of people took part in the voting. Only in the third round there voted over a million people. "This means that citizens know their precincts, they can appreciate their work, find the way and the time to vote," - stressed the Minister.
To date, 46,000 Police Precincts fulfill their responsible service. "A Precinct is indeed the closest person to the population. He has a very wide range of duties, "said Vladimir Kolokoltsev, noting that the main task for these employees is the prevention of crime.
"We are trying to decrease the workload on our Precincts, so that they would write fewer reports, had more time for walking around their precinct area," - said the Minister, and assured that the Ministry regards as its important tasks the strengthening of the service, the creation of the necessary material and technical conditions.
Addressing the audience, the Russian MIA Minister expressed his confidence that all the laureates met the highest requirements, and congratulated the winners and finalists.
With a margin of more than seven thousand votes this year's "People's Precinct" contest was won by Ivan Kontorin, an employee of MIA Inter-municipal Division "Mytischinsky" of the Moscow Region .
The second place went to a Nizhny Novgorod Precinct Alexander Pasyakin and the third place was taken by Elena Savchenko from the Moscow Police.
By MIA Order the finalists of the contest have been assigned special ranks. Winners were also awarded with diplomas of the Russian MIA and valuable gifts.
Furthermore, the "People's Precinct" was congratulated by Deputy CEO of the "Komsomolskaya Pravda" Publishing House L.V. Zakharov and was awarded by him with a special prize - a motorcycle.
