A person suspected of heroin trafficking has been detained in the Irkutsk Region
Drug control officers of the Criminal Investigation Administration of the MIA General Administration for the Irkutsk Region suppressed a channel of delivery of potent drugs. As a result of the operation there was seized nearly a kilogram of heroin.
The Criminal Police received operative information that a large consignment of drugs is being transported from Irkutsk to Angarsk. At the implementation of a complex of operational and search activities on the weight control post near the village of Malaya Elan of the Irkutsk Region the Police together with traffic police inspectors detained the passenger of a car, in the cabin of which there was discovered a package with a suspicious substance.
The study found that the packages contained 996 grams of heroin. The suspect in the transportation and sale of drugs - a 40-year-old man - was detained. Investigating authorities of the MIA General Administration for the Irkutsk Region opened a criminal case. The suspect is in custody.
