In Murmansk there completed an outdoor folk championship among motorists on Traffic Rules and driving skills "Formula of Autoradio". The panel of judges of the championship, as in previous years, included representatives of the Traffic Police of the MIA Administration for the Murmansk Region. They, together with the driving school instructors, had to assess the most difficult stage for the participants - driving along the route to time in compliance with all the Traffic Rules requirements.
Motorists who, managed to cover the route within the shortest time, without errors and solved all the cards on the Traffic Rules were admitted to the Finals.
Before the final race the Police checked the driver's documents and the condition of external lighting devices of motor vehicles. While driving they professionally assessed errors in path changing, driving at prohibiting traffic signals. Each error added penalty points and extra time to motorists. However, among the participants there were also those who against the excitement accurately and precisely drove through the whole route.
At the end of the competition the police appealed to drivers with the wishes of always observing the Traffic Rules, maintaining law and order on the roads, demonstrating respect to other road users.
The Police believe that such events have a positive effect on instilling in drivers increased responsibility for the safety oon the roads.
