Policemen detect two workshops producing counterfeit clothes in the Moscow Region

Policemen of the Administration for Economic Security and Combating the Corruption of the Russian MIA General Administration for the Moscow Region together with colleagues from the Subdivision for Economic Security and Combating the Corruption of Intermunicipal Administration “Noginskoye” of the Russian MIA and the Special Rapid Response Unit of the Russian MIA General Administration for the Moscow Region detected two workshops manufacturing counterfeit clothes. The illegal production was located in the industrial area in urban locality Noginsk of the Moscow Region.

At the time of the inspection, 146 foreign citizens who were making clothes were in the workshops. The foreigners had no documents proving their legitimate staying in Russia. The workers of the enterprise lived in the workshop in insanitary conditions and were forbidden to leave the territory.

As a result of the operation, the police confiscated more than 6 thousand sets of ready counterfeit products – coats, vests, fleece jackets, gym suits, as well as over 150 pieces of professional sewing equipment. Besides, the police seized raw materials for manufacturing clothes under famous trademarks.

It was established that the counterfeit clothes produced were supplied to wholesalers and retailed on merchandise markets in Moscow and the Moscow Region.

By now, a criminal case has been initiated on the fact of organization of illegal migration. An inspection is being carried out.
