As part of the All-Russian event "Month of Road Safety" at the State Zoo of the Udmurt Republic, Izhevsk Traffic Police officers held a fest "Zebra on the pavement." At the entrance to the zoo children and adults were met by volunteers, dressed as zebra-puppets, and handing out leaflets about the observance of traffic rules.
The festival was solemnly opened by propaganda team "Little Traffic Lights" from the team of young traffic inspectors from kindergarten No. 18 of Izhevsk. Then the stage was taken by traffic police officers. They told the children about the rules of safe behavior on the street, and gave advice to parents on how to ensure the safety of children on the road. After that there were organized for zoo visitors exciting contests on the knowledge of Traffic Rules. Children accompanied by their parents and grandparents were interestedly taking part in competitions. The zebra-puppets asked questions and riddles. There was found as well an attraction for minor kids - together with their parents, they fantasized on the road theme.
Participants of the contests received souvenirs - reflectors and topical book-tabs.
