Officers of the MIA General Administration for Criminal Investigation in collaboration with colleagues from Criminal Investigation Sub-division of MIA Administration for the Eastern Administrative District of the MIA General Administration for the city of Moscow detained members of an organized ethnic group suspected of committing a series of burglaries in the territory of the metropolitan region.
During the operational-search activities, detectives found that two natives of Georgia, born in 1959 and 1993, may be involved, in at least three burglaries committed in the territory of the Kosino-Ukhtomsky District of Moscow.
Both the malefactors were detained in an apartment in Lyubertsy, the Moscow Region.
During the searches in the place of residence of the suspects the Police found evidence of illegal activity of the detainees, including things stolen from the apartments of the victims.
A criminal case has been initiated on the fact of the burglaries.
Currently, both the detainees, who were staing in the territory of the Russian Federation without documents and registration, are being checked for involvement in earlier similar offenses.
