The duty unit of Intermunicipal Division “Buzulaksky” of the Russian MIA was notified by employees of a store about a girl who had attempted to pay with a counterfeit 1,000 rouble note.
The investigation response team established at the scene that the 10-year old girl had taken the note from her mother. In the course of the search in the apartment rented by the mother and her three children, the policemen detected 32 more similar bank notes.
The examination revealed that the seized notes were counterfeit. The woman explained that she had acquired the notes in Moscow in order to use them in the territory of the Orenburg Region.
The police qualified the suspected woman's actions by essential elements of a crime stipulated by Article “Production, Storage, Transportation or Use of Counterfeit Money or Securities” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
