Policemen prosecute a man involved in multiple counterfeit money cases in the Ivanovo Region
Policemen detained a man who tried to pay for goods with a five-thousand rouble note in a food store in the town of Shuya of the Ivanovo Region. A cashier of the store recognized the counterfeit money and called the police.
The policemen immediately arrived at the scene and detained a 37-year old man. When carrying out a personal search, the policemen detected that he had five 5,000 rouble notes of dubious authenticity. The examination revealed that the money seized from the detained citizen were counterfeit.
A criminal case was initiated on the fact of using counterfeit money. In the course of investigative work, the policemen established the complicity of the detained man in four cases of counterfeit money distribution. He had committed the offenses in the territory of Shuya and in the Ivanovsky District.
