A little girl climbed up on the window sill by herself and sat on the very edge of a 6-story window crying loudly. Chance witnesses applied to the police for help. Policemen of the private security division arrived to the scene in one minute. On their way, they notified the EMERCOM of the situation and called an ambulance.
Senior Police Sergeant Sergey Kuzin stayed under the windows of the house where the girl was. The policeman asked the residents for a blanket in case the little girl was unable to hold up and fell down. The second officer – Police Captain Yuri Bakhtiarov ran up to the floor where the child was, but the entrance door was locked.
Having summed up the situation, the policeman decided to open the door lock. Trying to be as quiet as possible not to scare the girl even more, the policeman very quickly opened the door, ran into the room and took the child off the window sill.
The 1.5-year old girl was alone at home. Her mother who soon returned explained that when she had left the apartment the child was sleeping and she had not closed the window due to the heat.
