"Pangaea" operation was carried out in the Kemerovo Region under the auspice of Interpol

Officers of police, drug control, customs, Roszdravnadzor and the regional center for quality control and certification of medicines participated in this operation under the supervision of the officers of the National Central Bureau of Interpol Station of the MIA General Administration for the Kemerovo Region.

The seventh stage of the international operation "Pangaea", aimed at countering the illegal trafficking of medicines, was organized by the General Secretariat of the Interpol with the support of the World Customs Organization and the Forum for International Crime in the pharmaceutical field.

During the "Pangaea" operation the law enforcement authorities of the Kemerovo Region inspected 217 objects, including 211 retail outlets, 5 wholesale organizations, one producing company. Most of violations were revealed in the retail network - they were all associated with the sale of medicines the free sale of which without doctor's prescriptions was prohibited, in other cases, there were no certificates. There were revealed cases of sale of well-publicized counterfeit medicines. As a result of inspections of there were removed from illegal trafficking medicines worth dozens of thousands of rubles.

During the operation there were also identified 46 sites offering to sell fake medicines. Appropriate checks are carried out with regard to the offenders .

The issue of initiating 3 criminal cases is being considered, several people have been held administratively responsible.
