The Police in the Ivanovo Region detained suspects in the theft of icons
In the territory of the Verhnelandeh and Pestyakov districts of the Ivanovo Region there was recorded a series of crimes involving theft of icons. Malefactors committed thefts of religious objects from private homes.
Criminal investigators managed to identify the identity of the criminals. Two residents of the Nizhny Novgorod Region were detained on suspicion of committing a series of thefts of icons. In the past, both the men were convicted for the same offenses. A part of the stolen icons were seized by the Police .
Criminal proceedings have been initiated against the suspects on the fact of theft.
