Employees of the MIA Administration of Economic Security and Combating the Corruption for the Republic of Tatarstan received operative information that a group of malefactors organized the illegal production and distribution of counterfeit dairy products under well-known trademarks.
Police officers, acting as buyers bought 50 boxes of butter, and then detained the organizer of the illegal business.
Inspections were held on the sites of counterfeit dairy products production and warehousing.
The Police found that counterfeit dairy products were produced in violation of the requirements of respective State Standards (GOSTs).
For realization of finished goods the malefactors forged the supporting documents.
The Police officers seized 46 tons of counterfeit dairy products and the equipment for the production and packaging of products, as well as waybills and invoices.
During the inspection in the shop, where the production was taking place there was also found a substance that was, supposedly, narcotic.
The seized products and the mentioned substance were sent for research, the results of which will determine the issue of a criminal case initiation.
