In Kamchatka, a policeman rescued a teenager

A woman resident of Vilyuchinsk called the police and reported that in the bay, some 20 meters away from the shore there was a teenager on a breakaway ice floe.

Police Sergeant Sergei Machulin, a Driver of the Private Security Service of the MIA Division in Vilyuchinsk arrived to the site.

Sergei used the radio to ask his colleagues from the Traffic Police to bring him an inflatable boat from his home.

The policeman in the rubber boat reached the ice floe and removed the boy from it.

By that time the ice floe already drifted more than 50 meters away from the shore because of the strong wind.

The fourteen-year-old teenager was handed over by the policeman to the doctors.

The resolute actions of Sergei Machulin prevented the tragedy.
