Today the oldest transport policeman of the country militia lieutenant-colonel in retirement Danil Ivanovich Tymoshenko turned 104 years old.
Arrival of guests from traffic police to the house of Danil Ivanovich on this day has become a tradition. A representative of the MOI General Administration for Transport in the Far-Eastern Federal District arrived to Chelyabinsk to congratulate the veteran.
More than 30 years of his life Danil Tymoshenko, a pensioner of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and a veteran of the Great Patriotic War, devoted to service in the internal affairs units on transport in the Far East.
He was born in 1910 in Kramatorsk, the Donetsk Region.
After graduation from an NKVD school in late 1939, Danil Ivanovich was sent to a Detached Unit of NKVD of the 25th Aviabrigade, 1st Red Banner Army in Spassk of the Primorskiy Territory. Before the World War II he served in Novo Sysoevka settlement and in the town of Voroshilov of Primorskiy Territory in the position of an operative of the special department of the 1st Red Banner Army.
In the postwar period Danil Ivanovich worked in Militia on the Far East railway – at stations of the Primorskiy Territory: Suchan, Nakhodka, Tikhookeanskaya. In those years, on the railway there were operating criminal gangs that stopped cargo trains in the taiga, brought to the trains trucks or carriages and unloaded the cargos.
In the spring of 1956 Danil Ivanovich was transferred to Khabarovsk, where he headed Khabarovsk-2 militia linear post of the Far Eastern Railway until 1963.
On July 1, 1965 D.I. Tymoshenko retired from the position of OBKHSS operative of Khabarovsk station of the Far Eastern Railway. In 1968 he moved with his family to the city of Chelyabinsk.
Today Danil Ivanovich was congratulated by police officers continuing his work.
