The Investigation Department of the Administration of the MIA of Russia for Tambov considers a criminal case on fraud.

It was found, that at the end of March 2018, a citizen of the Krasnodar Territoryborn in 1991, arrived at Tambov to commit a crime, namely, to steal a car pretending he is going to rent it. In Tambov, the suspected applied to one of the car renting companies of our city. The criminal showed his passport and provided some other personal data. Upon execution of the necessary documents, he took a car priced at 800 thousand rubles and drove to the capital. In Moscow he sold the car to a person unidentified during the investigation for 150,000 rubles and spent the money for his own needs.

After committing the crime, the suspected was put on the federal wanted list.

At the end of November 2019, the officers of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Administration of the MIA of Russia for Tambov detected the location of the involved. Policemen made a service trip to the Krasnodar Territory where they detained the criminal. He was taken to Tambov for investigation and operative and search activities intended to document his criminal acts.

At present the citizen is imprisoned. Upon completion of all the required investigation activities with involvement of the suspected, the criminal case under part 3 of Article 159 of the Russian Criminal Code will be forwarded to the court with indictment. The Article provides for sanctions in the form of imprisonment for up to six years.
