Head of a forestry located in the Tver Region filed a statement to police on illegal forest felling.
During the inspection of the scene the police found that as a result pines felling in December 2013 the state suffered a damage in the amount of 2 million 325 thousand rubles.
It was established that illegal wood-felling was carried out by a company headed by a 51-year-old resident of the Tver Region. The police found as well that the wood was transported to the warehouse of the company and subsequently used in production.
Seized wood samples have been sent for analysis. The issue of initiating criminal proceedings is being considered.
