Wanted Armenian citizen has been detained for robbery in Izhevsk

A resident of Izhevsk reported a robbery to the police. The victim stated that an unfamiliar man, threatening bodily harm, stole his VAZ-21099 car. Employees of Interdistrict division number 6 (for combatting organized crime) of the MIA Criminal Investigation Administration in the Udmurt Republic together with officers of MIA Special Rapid Response Unit in the Udmurt Republic detained the suspect in the course of operational search activities. It turned to be a 26-year-old citizen of the Republic of Armenia. The police established that the detainee was on the wanted list for evading the military service.

He is now in temporary detention, and faces a sentence of up to seven years imprisonment. The stolen vehicle has been returned to the owner.
